Electric Airless Paint Sprayers

The basic painting technique of spraying a coating onto the surface through air is what we call as 'spray painting'. However, in case of 'airless paint sprayer', neither air nor air compressor is involved. The basic operation of an airless paint sprayer is spraying through a tiny hole provided at the end of the gun and controlled by horizontal back and forth hand movement. Professional paint contractors make use of airless paint sprayers for surface preparation like fences, billboards etc.

A typical electric airless sprayer would generally include the electric pump (piston or diaphragm), power cord, handle, on/off trigger switch, paint nozzle, spray controller and paint container. The usage of an airless paint sprayer can be for spray oil and water based paints. Although the 'airless paint spray' can be seen in various different designs and configurations, they all have the same controls and features henceforth; the coating provided by these sprayers is uniform and provides good adhesion.

Painting precautions: while spraying there could be misting at places where the paint is not required and so one should make sure to cover all the things not to be painted. Secondly, while using airless paint spray always make sure to wear a spray hood, safety glasses, old clothes and respirator. Also, all the landscaping, fences etc should be covered if the painting needs to be done outside.

Along with its advantages, there could be possible warnings when airless paint sprayer is considered:
1) Injury can be caused if the paint gets sprayed on your body as these operate at very high temperature.
2) Every time the machine for painting is turned off, make sure to release the pressure by pulling the trigger on the sprayer.

The usage of these electric paint sprayers is mostly for painting heavy duty industrial, chemical and marine coatings. Different tip sizes are used in order to achieve required spray pattern size as well as atomization. Flat tips do a good job however a smaller airless tip size will allow the pump to work less and give you more control. These sprayers are usually connected to high pressure pump so as to atomize the coating using 300 to 7,500 pounds per square inch pressure.

Electric Airless paint sprayers are supposed to be one of the best inventions that can be applied to a wide range of coatings of any desired thickness and finishes in less time than any other application method.
